The Ask
Our clients wanted their kitchen to be more functional for their large family. They’ve always loved to cook, but shortages of both storage space and areas for prepping, cooking and entertaining made their time in the kitchen frustrating.

Additionally, their adjoined keeping room didn’t provide enough space for the large dining table they required and was closed off from the rest of the house.
The Outcome
By tearing down the wall separating the kitchen and keeping room, we created a much more expansive kitchen—with space for a dining table, bar and "pocket" office—and established better flow to the connecting family room.
Building two harmonious islands solved prep, storage and entertainment space issues. As a whole, the personality of the new kitchen is light, yet warm and timeless.
